wonderful book, very interesting, clear explanations, lots of exercises and meditations
I am fascinated with the moon centers the last few years, even started to teach them to others

Being somewhat familiar with Gurutej Khalsa's earlier works, I approached the reading of The Moon She Rocks You with great anticipation. In this book, Gurutej tells how the Moon influences a woman's emotions. This is something many women have understood for centuries; yet this book delves into the subject much deeper, identifying eleven "Moon Centers" within each woman. Ms. Khalsa explains, in simple terms, where each of these centers is located, how to tell whether a particular Moon center is positive, negative or balanced and how to work on these Moon Centers to keep them balanced or positive. Included in each explanation are several exercises that help balance the chapter's Moon Center.
In two areas, Gurutej includes recipes to help in this area. Her recipe for easing menstrual symptoms sounds delicious and I mean to try it just out of curiosity. I worked through several of the exercises. I was curious as to how easy or difficult they would be for someone with a permanent disability such as fibromyalgia or lupus.
To my surprise, they were not only very easy, but were also helpful in easing some of the everyday pain. This, in itself, is well worth checking out this book. I found two things that I would have liked to see differently in this book. The book is written in a more formal style than I am used to from Gurutej Khalsa.
I would have loved to see the personable personality she exhibits in her videos come through a bit more. This in no way takes away from the book itself but is rather a personal preference of a reader who has come to love Ms. Khalsa's fun, down-to-earth personality. I would also have liked to see a section that contained a routine that allowed the reader to work on all eleven Moon Centers in one session. That may be part of the additional video program that is available as a companion to this book. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to check that out. Knowing Gurutej's videos, I can imagine how much fun this additional information adds to the whole subject. The Moon She Rocks You is a must read for every woman.
It enables women to understand their volatile natures and helps in reining the changes in and creating less chaos. In addition, any man who has ever wished to understand the women in his life can benefit from reading this book. Understanding is the first step in dealing with something confusing and, let's face it, women can be extremely confusing. The Moon She Rocks You by Gurutej Khalsa earns six colors on the Rainbow Scale.
